Heya guys,
Well, did a character meme, and I thought it would be nice to give it a try as well.
You basically take your oldest character, or the one that's changed the most, and dissect their personality over their developing years.

As I don't really have that many old characters, I decided to cheat a little and do Percy and Bill together.

2002
I was 10 years old (man that seems young now...geez...) when I created 2 alien characters based off the figures my sister and I made out of some clay. Neptulius was tall, silly, unbelievably lucky, and somehow knew karate (and was bright orange), while Bob was short, blue, grumpy, a bit cocky, unlucky, and could stick himself back together if he broke apart. It became a running gag that Bob would get splatted at one point during a comic and then would have to be stretched out on a washing line until he regained his natural shape.
At this point, the balance between the characters was pretty uneven, most of the good things happened to Neptulius, while the bad things happened to Bob.

2003
The characters evened out a little, so Bob had more intelligence and common sense, but still not as much luck as Neptulius. The splatting gag still existed.
A new character arrived, who was a cousin of Neptulius, tall, green, pretty much a mute and without any arms, the story of how they arrived on Earth was ironed out, but never fully scripted or drawn.

2004 - 2007
The Bob and Neptulius comics stopped as we moved country. In school I began to draw little mice characters in the margin of my books instead, and then dabbled in chibi elf characters. It wasn't until the year 10 Exams that I drew the distant relatives of Bob and Neptulius on a blank page of the Science exam.
Originally, Bill and Percy were both fairly casual, normal, beings, not extremely silly or violent. Their first appearance was just the two of them looking at a Pencil View version of Stone Henge made out of erasers. They were just one off characters.
But I liked them

So, later in the holidays I began drawing short one off comics of interactions between Percy and Bill, and began to develop Percy's silly side, and Bill's nature as the sensible person.
Gradually, somehow, I associated Bill with explosives, and then he never really came back from the violent side of his character >.>
This probably happened because of my own weird sense of humour, and it became a permanent part of his character when I drew a quick sketch for a friend: "I made you a cake" with a little cake with an ACME style bomb stuck on top of it.

2008 - 2009
Their characters became pretty finalised: Percy became daftness incarnate while Bill became the voice of reason, the wielder of sarcasm, and the violent one. I like to think that the character interaction is more balanced, with both Bill and Percy receiving equal portions of good and bad luck.

They are also due to have more backstory and thingses shown after the Survival Gudie series, which I still need to put up...bah humbug >.<'

Anyvays, that is the life story of Bill and Percy (basically)
