Peter hit the ground; his head ringing from the impact. Dazed, he tried to focus on what was happening, but all he could make out was a distorted figure moving towards him. He attempted to raise his shield but his arms felt like they were moving through water.
With a flash of pain the champion’s quarterstaff collided with his head and he fell into blackness.

Peter rode Victor hard, the horse seeming to sense his rider’s urgency, and half-flying across the countryside. Though he felt consumed by tiredness, the young knight was thankful for his haste when he clattered into the courtyard.

It did not take long to discover what had occurred. A pompous noble had asked for Rebecca’s hand and she had declined, rather loudly, in a public place. When he had persisted she had attempted to leave, and he prevented her; grabbing her arm. For this, she had struck him about the face. Humiliated the noble had departed, but that was not the end of the matter.

Well in case people are wondering what on earth it is I do with my life if I'm obviously not sticking things on DA, behold the answer. Beading. Days and days of beading. Well, hours during days, of beading XP It took a while, let's put it that way. Anyway, this was a gift I made for the neck modeler there. And it was the most challenging thing I have ever created. But I am fairly satisfied. It isn't perfect, there were hiccups, and my intention to follow the design in the book slooooowly went out the window (I kept the fact it was a necklace! XP) mainly because although I have many beads they weren't the same ones as the necklace pattern, and so I looked at what I had and went 'this would look nice, I like these beads too..and these...it would be great to use up these ones...' and so on, and then some parts of the pattern were made out of necessity, as in, I ran out of the other beads XP Anyway, at least I can say, it's my own design, and the only thing I took from the pattern were two new beading techniques I haven't used before. However...now when I close my eyes I just see beads and purple string >.>
