'Cause you know...a parliament of owls...eh heh
Yeah...I'm not very good at naming things, but this necklace was a fun challenge.
I found these adorable owl beads and challenged myself to SOMEHOW work them into a necklace design. From there the idea of having them perched in a tree was very appealing, and after some experimentation with making branches, and working out what to use as the main support material it all eventually fell into place.
The other hurdle for me (other than working with wire for a change) was going with an asymmetrical design, as I'm usually a stickler for ordered patterns and symmetry. But, considering this was meant to be an organic looking tree it seemed a better idea to go with something that at least looked a little less calculated.
Anyway, it was fun, I have no idea what kind of outfit this could go with or who would want to wear it, but ah well

This is a great necklace! The different elements and textures really combine nicely into a colourful, unique design. The part that goes round the neck looks nice and strong, and I love the beading for the branches. The beads you choose for the leaves compliment the colourful little owls, and the branches go with the middle ornament and the actual neckpiece, so everything blends nicely. It's definitely not an everyday piece of jewellry, as it is very big and intricate. However, it would look great for special occasions! It's also nice that each owl is a different colour, as this provides variety and an interesting look
